As you can tell we are still not settled (NO NEW PICTURES). We still have boxes everywhere. We do love where our house is. We have been having little campfires in the back yard roasting hotdogs and marshmellows. Brian dug a little firepit for us and we have some very old trees that he has cut down. Too bad we don't have a wood burning fireplace. We have so much wood. Guess we'll have to ask around to see if anyone needs any for winter. We have bunnies visiting us everyday. This neighborhood is full of them. In our yard we usually get about 3 or 4. They come out all times of the day. I love watching them. It's funny because Brian was cutting grass one day and one of the rabbits just froze in place. It did not move an inch while he was cutting grass. They are pretty brave, but it's so funny when they freeze like that. I guess they think we can't see them. It's fun watching them chase each other. There are some that come out that are really small. When we were at my parents' I watched the fox squirrels and now I get to watch bunnies. I love the wildlife!!
Well we sold the hot tub. We decided that we needed new carpet for the bedrooms instead. I'm just glad we haven't used it yet to enjoy, so it is nothing for us to get ride of it. Anyway it's gone, but we know the people that bought it from us. We can just enjoy it at there house.
Both Brian and I have callings now. Brian is the EQ Secretary and I just got called to be the YW'S President. I was totally shocked and thought, ME. I have been in Primary the majority of my adult life. What's even crazier is that I don't even know these girls and now I am the President. Well I will not technically get the calling until June 28. They have girls camp before that and the other leaders are doing that along with the old President. I know the Lord will help me do this and I know I got the call for a reason. I'm really excited to see how often other leaders ask where the girls' leader is and I'm standing right there.
Katrina and Carter have made friends and Carter has a friend across the street. Low and behold they are members!! They are a part member family, dad not a member. Mom not very active. Guess I'll be working really hard while I'm here, in a good way though. The boy across the street is Carter's age and he likes to play war. It is so funny because he has the hats and everything. Katrina plays along, but said she is getting tired of war. She has a friend that she met at Activity Day. They have a pool and we have been over there twice now. It's so hot that it is nice too cool off once in a while. The mosquitoes are so bad here. Both the kids are eaten up by them. I don't remember it being this bad in AL, but maybe it was. Well I think it's the noseeums too and other biting bugs. We also had a very scaly visitor the other day. It decided to slither into our garage. It was a red belly water snack, not dangerous, but I did not want it there. Anyway it took quite a while to get that varmint out. He kept going under and between boxes. Brian had to move nearly everything. Brian got a broom and was trying to get it out. That thing was so dang stubborn. During all of this the things tail broken and was bleeding. Finally when Brian got it out of the garage the thing kept wanting to come back and it was very angry. It started striking at Brian. Brian was finally able to pick it up. I felt bad for it's tail, but found out on google that their tails break very easily and it doesn't bother them. The kids touched it and Brian let it go in the woods down the road. I don't mind the non-venomous as long as they stay out of my garage. So far that has been the most exciting thing that has happened. I guess yesterday was kind of exciting too. I watched Brian, the guy that bought the hot tub, three short Latino guys (shorter than Brian), and this huge black guy pick up the very large and very heavy hot tub. They put it in Brian's truck. Brian had to cut out the wall to get that thing out. The previous owners of this house added a sunroom to the house which was great, but they built it around this hot tub. Thank goodness Brian is so handy. He cut the wall out so nice and neat. Brian wanted to put a door on that side anyway so it worked out. Word of advice, Never build around a hot tub, just leave it outside on a deck or concrete pad. So, we have our work cut out for us, but that's okay. We will do it with glad hearts knowing that in the end (NOT SURE WHEN THAT WILL BE) it's done. Hope you enjoyed the first chapter of our new adventure here in Goldsboro, NC.
Like I said before I will post new pictures of the house, the property, and of us soon....... I hope...

Our kitty Neela races me to the bedroom to get her belly rubbed. This a routine thing for her and she will softly make a noise until she gets her belly rubbed. It's quite funny.

Isn't moving in hard. I think I would mind a snake whether it was venomous or not. Good luck with all the unpacking, and I can't wait to see the new pictures.
Haha! Don't you love getting some crazy calling right when you move into the ward? You'll do great! Glad to see you're doing so well :)
We got new carpet to put into our bedroom. After that we should be getting our room nicely organized. As for the calling I'm not as nervous about now. I'm sure I'll get along great with the girls, but man, president!! The couselor told that they prayed for a week about it and my name just kept coming up. Guess it's true, the Lord does know me better than I know myself.
It sounds like you guys are loving where you are. You are going to do so great as YW president. I just know it! Greg also has the same calling as Brian. It would be so fun to see you guys. We are going to Myrtle Beach next summer, so maybe we can somehow hook up! Miss you guys!!
Melinda that would be great!!! It's not that far. We should do it totally. Let me know and we'll make plans. We would love to see you all too.
